Rivulet feels like a weather event happening inside a body. It shifts between stream, wound, spill, signal, tear, fruit, shell, branch, scar, and head. I think of it as a body trying to contain something that is already leaking out of it.
It’s stormy and a little embryonic — like something has started, but hasn’t fully declared what it is yet. Dark earth glazes, red, blue, and sudden whites move between murk and luminosity. There’s contamination, pressure, emotional overflow, but also this constant sense that the painting itself is changing weather while you look at it.
Transformation, a weather event, nascent and stormy — a storm that hasn’t yet unfolded.
